Guide

Getting started

This guide takes you from a new account to a configured panel. It follows the "Initial setup" wizard that opens the first time you enter the admin of your server. You do not need a running game server to finish it: the connection step can be skipped and done later.

Steps

  1. Create your account

Open the registration page and create your account. You can follow this guide on the Free plan. If you are asked to confirm your email address, do it before going further.

  2. Create your server

Follow the creation assistant: it walks through the identity of your server, the game, a theme and the domain. The address of your server is checked for availability as you type it.

  3. Open the initial setup

Once the server exists, the admin opens the "Initial setup" wizard. A progress bar shows where you are and the first screen lists every step. If you leave, a reminder offers to "Continue setup" the next time.

  4. Choose the game module

In the "Game module" step, select the module that matches your server, for example FiveM ESX or QBCore, RedM or Minecraft. Choose carefully: once the initial setup is finished, the module cannot be changed.

  5. Invite your team (optional)

In the "Team" step, enter an email address, pick "Administrator" or "Member" and click "Add another member". You can skip this step and invite people later from the Team page of the admin.

  6. Connect your game (optional)

The "Game database" step connects PanelRP to your server. If you have no game server yet, leave it empty and click "Next", or choose "Skip and use demo data". The guide "Connect your game server" covers this step in detail.

  7. Map and synchronize the data

When your server is connected, the "Data mapping" and "Synchronize data" steps link the game tables to the panel and import Players, Jobs, Vehicles and Houses. Run a synchronization for each type.

  8. Go through the remaining steps

The other steps are "Duplicate check", "Discord notifications", "Basic SEO" and "Theme". The wizard lists some of them as "Later, from Settings (never blocking)": none of those is required to finish.

  9. Review and finish

In the "Summary" step, check the game module, the domain, the site title and the theme, then click "Finish setup". Apart from the game module, you can change these settings later in the admin.

Good to know

  • The game module is the one setting you cannot change after the initial setup.
  • Premium themes and the Discord bot need a Premium plan. The rest of the setup works on the Free plan, and the pricing page lists what each plan includes.
  • The game database step is optional. If you have no game server yet, you can connect it later from Settings, under Database.
